Last Two Roundtables

Events support members’ 2016 and beyond planning

The Service Industry Association (SIA), a global organization of companies who support the high technology service supply chain, announced the success of its November and December roundtables that finished out its year of events. The November roundtable was held in Sinapore and hosted by Procurri, while the December event was hosted by ISC Group in San Diego, California. Both roundtables, designed for small group conversations and brainstorming, were at capacity with members attending from around the globe to glean industry trends and best practices that would help them plan for 2016 and beyond.

“The traction we’ve seen with every roundtable this year, as well as the annual Summit and membership in general, is encouraging,” commented Tom York, President, SIA Board and President/CEO, Essintial Enterprise Solutions. “We know that we provide the thought leadership and resources to support service supply chain providers and the overall industry. The interest and participation proves this value, which we are continuing to build with exiting 2016 initiatives. I look forward to continuing this positive momentum next year.”

Procurri’s roundtable took place in November and included presentations from Procurri, Basis Bay, and SMS who addressed the APAC region’s market trends and economic outlook. A panel discussion including all three companies rounded out the day. The December program also began with its host: ISC presented its case and success in opening Latin American operations before a tour of its facility. Discussions about the implications for service providers from the evolution of infrastructure technology presented by Abtech and the on-demand economy with LMS (Logistical Maintenance Services) followed. Both events provided excellent information for members to consider for the future of their businesses.
